ASBESTOS TESTING /

SAMPLING

Not sure if its asbestos, we can help.

Prior to any disturbance of a building material for a renovation or demolition activity, the building owner shall engage a licensed asbestos inspector to conduct a thorough review and inspection of the materials involved in the activity.  The inspector will identify the presence, location, and quantity of asbestos and prepare a written report for the owner.

The inspector engages a Massachusetts licensed laboratory to determine the percentage of asbestos content within the sampled material by analytical composition.

Many time’s sampling and testing can be as easy as a floor for a kitchen remodel, a wall for a bathroom remodel, or inspecting a boiler and associated piping in preparation for an upgraded energy efficient model.

Other times sampling and testing can be more complex by conducting surveys on properties desiring a total “gut” renovation or an entire structural demolition.
